3. ...Bd7 4. Bxd7 Qxd7 5. c3
Same thing your ganna play c3 anyway, except your bishop is off the board (and so is his)

Or castle. It really doesn't lead to sharp positons, but it leads to straightforward and logical type of games.
Yes that is another thing i was looking for. I want to avoid the deep theory of the dragon and the najdorf etc.
The only problem is that you cannot play it against the e6 Sicilians. So you have to find something for that too. I would probably reccomend Nc3, with a likely transposition into the main lines.
only problem is that it offers white no advantage and its boring. Start learning 3. d4 now and later you won't be still playing boring equal positions.
Against people who are not booked up on the Grand Prix attack and closed scillian, and you know they will play d6, try 2. Nc3. Normally, they will continue with d6 and then you will get a winning game as the soon-forced d5 will then take an extra tempo.
After Bd7,the move is a4!!
to get full analyze, you can but empire chess vol 64 and 65 dvd. They are very good
You have heard wrong - The 3.Bb5 Sicilian, whether talking the Moscow (2...d6 3.Bb5+) or Rossolimo (2...Nc6 3.Bb5+), both are far less tactical then you think. Of course, every opening has some level of tactics involved, even the London System, but don't be expecting anything remotely close to resembling a wild tactical melee. If you want that, you gotta play the Open Sicilian or one of the wild Gambits, like the Morra Gambit, Wing Gambit, Deferred Wing Gambit, etc.
A winning game after d6? That's not true at all. Show a variation where white gets a winning game from black playing d6 and then d5?
I think the Bb5 variations are more straightforward and less tactical the the mainline Sicilians. In my opinion they are probably the best option to avoid all the mainline theory and the basic ideas are fairly easy to understand even for novice players.
krammnik dosent think so he said that the rossolimo leads to easy eqaulity for black but http://www.365chess.com/opening.php white has a perfect score but krammnik i think scores 57% with black against it.Not trying to make a point just throwing out what i know.Im pfren i laughed what you said about damian lemos.Just saying he is not for dvds he is hard to listen. My advice is stay away from dvds."The book was better"
I have heard that this opening leads to a very tactical game. I am thinking of playing this instead of 2.c3 because that is just not my style. If anyone could give me some insight into this opening. Games you have played, sharp lines you know, and experiances you have seen or had. Thanks.
