BDG: Huebsch Gambit

Can the Huebsch Gambit be considered as ambitious against the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit as the mainline 3... dxe4, 4.f3 exf3?

Here are two sample lines:

To me it seems to allow black to get a good position, without allowing white much scope for the hackery he gets in the Blackmar-Deimer.

Gambit Huebsch is supposed to be better for black theorically speaking.

Its a worse version of BDG, trading these knights favouring black.

So if Black play Nf6 before d5, they can enter into it and get an easy and simple position.

The lines u give are right and show efficiency of this opening for black.

For instance, in the line 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nc3 d5 3.e4 dxe4 4.f3 e5 5.d4xe5 is supposed to be good for white, with e5 pawn attacking f6 knight.

If u compare with Huebsch gambit, well, there is no knight on f6 anymore so 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nc3 d5 3.e4 Nxe4 (!) 4.Nxe4 d5xe4 5.f3 e5! is a much better version for black.

About your 2nd line, with 5.Bc4, instead of 7.Bb5?, better is 7.Qe2 and now : 7...Nxc4 8.Qxc4 e6! 9.d5xe6 Bxe6 10.Qxe4 Qd5! 11.Qxd5 Bxd5 with a superior endgame for black with bishop pairs.

I don't think, that 2. Nc3 is good move at all. Don't give any advantage to white.

Other tries for White :

These lines are relatively simple and i am always surprised by players continuing to play BDG, falling into this Huebtsch gambit where they are already worse without attacking chances.

Here a game i played some months ago :

Iuvavum

so most of the lines seem to give black a small advantage, though there might be an attempt to equalize in the line with 5.Bf4

The final position seems slightly better for Black though.
