The caro Kan is a solid opening that allows you to play tactics like pins and forks which also breaks the centre first allowing you to use the cca formula more than usual and attacking the white king which wins material and the most important thing it lefts white with very few variations to play and you are now on the driving seat of the game

I is a wonderful opening, and I have played it almost my whole life. But please stop calling this or other openings 'best'. There are no best openings. There are only fine/OK openings (most of the traditionals) and bad openings. And there are 'my favourite' etc.

Sicilian on my opinion even tho I don't play it. Almost everyone plat it because it has good middle game plans yet a complicated and worth opening to play

It amazes me how many try to post and either question or claim what the best opening is. There are sound openings, slightly dubious openings, and outright bad openings. There is no "Best".
