Blitz training games in Scheveningen

Hello. I am looking for a partner to play blitz games in the Scheveningen where I play White. (1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e6).

Ideal would be 2000+ rated for blitz.

I don't intend to play the Keres attack (6.g4) as I prefer 6.Be2.

PM me or post here if interested.

I'll play the white side! It seems hard to play that from Black's perspective.

I'd help, but you guys are the rar people.... and I don't play the Scheveningen....

YES! i beat logozar in a game in that opening! all i did was move my horsies around so that when he attacked my castle i could defend it

just to embarrass logo taht he lost to a 1185 USCF , heres the game

Good job! I note you didn't post your 2 losses in our 3 game match. Both of us know you are under-rated (USCF) due to not going to tournaments in a long time. I figure you are somewhere around 1500-1600 USCF. This was a fun match - and instructive too, as I didn't know ...e6-e5 was a normal idea in some Schevinenngen lines.

This match was also a friendly reminder that if I want to do my best, internet blitz is probably not best after 11 pm Wink

"Blitz" and "Training" are certainly oxymorons.

Not always. I can use blitz to find interesting opening ideas, and I can note them in my chess notebook or do additional research on it.

Training blitz for openings can be especially useful if it has increment.

The true is that rapid (even say more than 10' time control to thing a litttle) and daily chess schould be good. With this condition I could play some games as I am interest to  Scheveningen

Would 5 minutes with 2-second increment be slow enough? Laughing

9.Nf5 in my game with speedybulletchess was simply awful.

After 6.Be2 you'll mostly just get positions reached in the Najdorf. The only exception is the modern Sheveningen where they play don't play ...a6 and they develop the knight to c6.

I have no experience in the scheveningen but I could play training games in the sicilian,I play the sveshnikov as my main weapon

PM me what you think a good time would be (today or tomorrow) according to Central time zone.

I can play a match with me playing the white side of the Sveshnikov. Preferred time control: 3/2

I don't like 6.Be2 e5 (in the Najdorf) from White's perspective.

But you don't really know Scheveningen. If no-one else will that's fine, but Ideally, I'd like to play against someone who plays the Scheveningen on a regular basis.

Whats your time zone, where in the US do you live?. My time zone is GMT+1

Indirect

He mentioned central time zone earlier, so I assume that's his time zone... It's GMT-6...

Why do you focus so much on the Scheveningen? There are many other openings that also need attention too.

Good point. Practice against the Dragon. I've beaten you twice with that opening happy.png

My message was directed at Logozar.

But if it's too easy then why don't you have a winning record against the dragon?

One of those games was a bullet game from several months ago.

The other one was a recent blitz - I was trying a line I started playing only a while before our game - it was very instructive for me, and I now know what I could have done better.
