Nice presentation . . .
DENVER
Not a bad video although a little too much reference to engine assessments. Nobody much played Accelerated Dragon in the 80s, otherwise would have been very useful back then when I played 1. e4 for about 3 years.
I never realised why Bobby played the Bb3 even when it wasn't necessary to avoid the fork trick. He didn't explain. That's because it was a trap!
The wisdom was that the dragon and the accelerated dragon were both bad and the semi-accelerated dragon was ok. I tried it a few times and in general found the dragon far too passive. The thematic rook sac on c3 was far too obvious and no-one fell into it. I started to play e6 a6 Sicilians and often won instead of drawing.
I made a detailed guide on the Bobby Fisher trap in the Accelerated Sicilian Dragon opening. Let me know what you think! What would you like to see next?
