One of tha advantages of the Budapest is that it works well against players who play the Samisch/4 Pawns KID.

Isn't the castle at 15 (0-0-0) illegal?  (castling through check)

No that move is legal, the rook can move through check but the king can't.

Innocent

ellie100

does any1 want to play a  turnbased unrated and we will play the budapest??

AKJett

KID means King's Indian Defence.

4...Bc5 is tempting since it wins back the pawn, but 4...Nc6 is in my humble opinion better.

ellie100

Bc5?! was wierd 2 me I would Prefer the sound Nc6.

Tapani

4. ... Bc5 is good.

It develops a piece with tempo (attacks the f2 pawn), it forces white to play a move like e3, which in turn traps white's dark colour bishop behind his own pawns.

ellie100

but nc6 allows you 2 choose which square you want the bishop to go 2.

I won two games in the budapest with a trap here it is

ellie100
