Hi! anybody know anything about the Fajarowicz gambit (d4 Nf6 c4 e5!! de Ne4!!) I want to have it in my repetoire. Thanks!

I played the Budapest for a while, but it was long ago and I didn't play the Fajarowicz variation at the time.

But I just watched an intersting video on youtube about the Fajarowicz and consider to give the Budapest another try. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61NPJbX1RV0

Check out the Game Explorer here and start playing through some games with it, preferably played by Masters. Like most other barely sound openings it will work much better for you in OTB and Live Chess than in CC

Personally I'd recommend you answer 1.d4 with d5 before you start playing any single QP Opening, much less the very shaky Budapest Gambit but you might find it very useful for live chess. However when I was about 1700 USCF playing Alekhine's vs 1.e4 and KID vs 1.d4 I switched to the Latvian Gambit vs 1.e4 and Budapest (but not Farajowicz Var) vs 1.d4 and went up to the 1900s in a year or two, but this was before PCs were available for anything, much less chess!
