Hi , i have a question , for now im 300elo and i want to learn some openings/gambits or traps , which ones can you recommend to me? (~300-500elo and ~500-1000)
Definitely the Scotch Gambit. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. Bc4. From here, you can maneuver your knight to g5 and aim for attacking the weak f7 square. This forks the rook and queen. (Against low rated players, you are likely to win a rook.) I’ve been playing this opening for a while and it reaps a 51% win rate. I often blunder in games, so that percentage is pretty good.
