Since white did not make any serious mistakes (Bg5 is a normal development move and not a sin against the opening rules) you cannot "beat" it with black. However since the Trompowsky is not white's challenging move you can try to neutralize the white opening advantage (and get an equal game).
There are several ways to try this for example 2. ... Ne4 2. Bf4 3. c5 (or d5) just look in the database what system you like best.
