Also, if 11. ... Kb7, 12. Kd6 Ka7 13. Kc6 Ka8 and we are at the same position only a move later. So in this position, mate is possible in 22 moves.

I have read that bishops are better than knights at endgame play , to answer your question - i would prefer a rook more than 2 bishops , probably due to lack of intense chess theory / hence my low rating .

yeah i mmust say though if a king and a rook were versing a kingand 2 bishops it would be an awesome match
