Was trying to find a bottle of it. The best I could come up with was this:
Combat Stories and King's Gambit

And still no mention of the Bishop's Gambit (1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3. Bc4) What is up with that, is there a pitfall that I should be aware of, or is it just people don't like it anymore.

It's not too interesting, because... it does not have some special essence.
3.Bc4 d5 is a perfectly adequate reply, as well as 3...Nf6 4.Nc3 c6 with... d5 in mind. And the 2...d5 3.ed5 ef4 move sequence makes 3. Bc4 completely irrelevant.
Like it, or not, Black has some twenty ways towards a VERY comfotable game against the king's gambit- and picking one of them is just a matter of taste.

Thank you, that helps, I just don't like the Knights Gambit, feels awkward developing the knight first in such a high paced opening

Yep. This is precisely why the KG is so rarely played on a 2200+ level, too.
Anyways, it appears I missed AndyClifton's mental breakdown on the last page, with an astonishing 5 posts in a row, all filled with crappy poems devoted solely to me. I guess his life is even more pathetic than his scrubby, low-level chess play.

@ Cogwheel: We would greatly appreciate if you went and jerk off somewhere else. Thank you in advance.

listen Cogwheel, this is a serious threat I hope you recognize that
also, What is the best way to play with the Bishops Gambit (that is for all to answer)
Seriously, though, for the umpteenth time! what about 3...Bc5 in the Falkbeer? (see post #103). Why is this rarely seen? It seems playable......
I've played the Falkbeer myself. 3...Bc5 is simply much better for White, without them having to do anything special.
And in the particular variation you cited, White wins a piece after 9. Qb5+.
3...e4 is the best try, but sadly, 4. d3! gives White a significant advantage. (All the other variations are actually quite good for Black, though)

Are all KG games as flashy as the ones on the front page? I'm interested in exploring options for open games as white other than the Ruy Lopez. Are the declined and accepted lines extremely different, or do they have a similar style of play?
Thanks in advance!
Wow, there's more of those things too! Hey, that's pretty cool...
