and now i dont have to think about dam openings ican just chill and have some fun games :) cheers
Opening repertoire 4 patzers Best ones to get playable positions and quick wins!

anyway if one wonder to a thread like this I assume they click on guy to see what rating he has and what to expect

so my first advice to attacking guys who struggle as black in e4 e5 (as black I always responded symetrical no matter what :DD and sucked big time :DD), to check alekhine defense as a possibility

Till_98 i searched that gambit and its great. infact i play urusov gambit in bishops opening and games transposes to that or max lange attack right? very interesting and fun gambit to catch unaware opponent of guard!!

The problem with the Alekhine is that White can get an excellent game without knowing any theory, just playing normal moves.
The Russian Defense (Petroff) is a different beast. Both sides can play creatively and strive for a win with neither side really knowing any theory. Most people think the Russian is a dead draw and don't bother to study it. It's a great opening that meets the criteria of being sound, classical, and easy to learn.
Go and play your offbeat stuff. But that stuff will only get you so far (maybe 1500 rating).
Instead of worrying about what your opponent knows or doesn't know about specific openings, work on tactics, planning and endgames.

Russian is excellent opening i agree I also agree that opening is the least important thing to waste time in my level so i tried to choose simpliest openings and get to playable middlegames. But i must say that i think that in alekhine one also can play creatively and strive for a win. Is Petrov really easy to learn Smyslovfan?

I see the title of the thread has changed.
Regarding learning the Russian, I already answered that. I think it's an easy opening to learn, and one that will reward close study for years. It's not particularly well known beyond its reputation for being drawish, and it's been played for the win by masters and grandmasters.
It really is everything you could ask for in an opening.

YE i did :DD I must try petrov for a change it seemed alwys for me like very interesting opening :) Its like people say that exchanghe french is drawish which is nonsense. Of course player can choose dry lines but lets say in french exchange i play it as attacking opening by following with 4.c4

famous legal trap
This trap comes from Philidor defense and note that if he doesnt develop neither knights and instead tries to fianchetto with g3 or does sth else h3 is not neccesary and you can play knight takes e5 pawn right away because they cannot recapture with knight and bishop on g4 is hanging to the queen in these positions

Here is one of my secret weapons, the Italian Kaltanowsky Gambit. Hope you enjoy it and use it in your games! :)
Ask me if you would like to have more detailed lines. Cheers, Till :)

I DID :)))crazy lines Till! Seems like really big fun this gambit is and 9.f4 really such a nasty move :). Early pressure gives fun games and chance for them to slip up early and if they dont its still a game especially in blitz(which i think is really best time control with 3 or 2 sec. increm. of course to play positions out). I Play bishops opening and after 1e4 e5 2bc4 nf6 3 d4 pawn takes (possibly blacks best) nf3 (so called urusov gambit) also is fun to play. I think some lines must transpose from other aggresive openings like max lange, Koltanowski and scotch... as d4 push standart move to break open the center and bc4 of course puts early pressure on black...
hahahahahahaha good one :DD Nah, man im just patzer which only couple years ago learned how pieces move and i had big troubles in openings. always losing in few moves and slowly built up my openings that i survive to middlegames with playeble positions or even start attacking myself just because they wouldn be able to :) so some simple gambits does the trick in my level. this thread is for other complete beginners who has same issues as i had.
