SNUDOO ,i just want to know if you have thoughts on what should be the general idea for the Italian, and i just presented the chess board because it's possible that people dont know what the Italian game is.( of course they will not tell me anything, if they dont know what it is, but there are some chances, that those people will learn something too) I just want replies ,and what im interested in ,is what are the replies for those replies

I highly recommend the book Beating 1.e4 e5: A repertoire for White in the Open Games if you're serious about playing the Italian.

This is the line that I recommend. It generally leads to a pretty quick draw, though if either side makes a slight mistake the game can start leaning the other players way. The line is easy to remember, well known, and you are likely to see it many times. I have played this exact line with white and black many times OTB and online.

Actually that opening favours white. In terms of opening positional power, the light diagonal with both the queen and the bishop behind it, if achieved should be held on to till it becomes the central point of whites strategy.

Yes it very slightly favors white. But it is mostly even. White has that a2-g8 diagonal to work with, while black has this weak isolated pawn on d4 to attack. Black does have to be careful of that pawn however. He can’t let it become passed.

I’m busy right now so I can’t playa quick game. I’ll play a daily game in this opening if you want

some good posts so far Mr Brezhnev.

so you have

1. the Evans Gambit, my own favorite.

2. the c3, d3, b4, a4 system quite popular in grandmaster play pre-covids, the system i first played before defecting to the Evans.

3. the line given by pfren.

4. the Ng5 line, the two knights defense.

studying those will reveal your own personal preference.

Ah, so you’re a Evans player too, nice

Responding to the first posts, I like crazy attacking games so this is my repertoire in the Italian:

Again if your style is safe and positional you don't have to play this, you can play those moves instea

If you have questions, you can ask me in this thread
