It is. Bezgodov has written a book on 1.e4 c5 2.a3, another one on the Fantasy Caro-Can (where whole known variations are omitted!) and a third one on 1.d4 d5 2.c4 Bf5. Interesting or not, his views should be met with a barrel of salt handy.
Can someone point me to some good plans for black with this opening. Opening tricks, traps to watch out, different lines, etc. I started playing this opening against d4 because equalizing gave me more wins. I don't think people who used this were prepared to go toe to toe with their opponent.
