The idea is that after d3, you pull queen to g3, then attack the castled king with Bh6
Defences to the Parham Attack

At the end of the game I was watching I saw that white had an obvious win against black.
I can't help thinking that it had little to do with the opening...

He saw that it gives a good position, how does that make him an idiot. I personally don't like 2. Qh5 against e6, but I'm not going to criticize if he does.

Trapper- this is just a troll vs sanity battle. I suggest leaving.
I assume you're the troll? Although, I have to admit this thread has at least been somewhat productive.

@gavin: it's 2 am here and I can't post diagrams from my blackberry. But I'll post the whole thing first thing in the morning (about 6 hours from now), including my reply to the bishop attack. Thanks. It's been interesting.

I know, Qh5 doesnt seem good against e6, i agree with you there, but I saw a forum somewhere and it showed how Qh5 is good against e6....Forgot what the variation was, though.

And if you really think i look like an idiot then its because I didnt study the Parham Attack that long....Im kind of new to it. Anyone would act as i am acting if they were new to an opening...

Thank you for spending a lot of your time helping us understand the Parham Attack, The_Gavinator. Hopefully people will understand what you are teaching. Thanks for all the help!

Trapper, you got to forgive Joey. He been at this all day and he probably frustrated by now with all the BS.
It ain't his fault. You can see from his analysis that he's a smart guy and knows how to play. His problem is it gets hard when you honestly smart and you have to watch dumdums pretending they all smart. Puttin on a little show like.
But smart people get caught up in this game all the time. Don't know why. Only way dumdums can make smart people look like dumdums. Glad I ain't that smart.
Simple man like me just don't get caught in the BS.
I watched a game next to me at a recent tournament. They were both about equally rated, and the guy who was white used the Parham Attack on the French Defense. I agree with The_Gavinator that this is one of the best openings in chess. Against french defense white gains a great position. At the end of the game I was watching I saw that white had an obvious win against black. Im starting to really like this opening
