Defending Against the Danish

Hey Guys, Just wondering what's typically considered the best defense against the danish gambit. I'm pretty sure it goes like this.

What should black do? I know black shouldn't take all the way up to the "b" pawn. That's a little over ambitious I think..

How about just not taking all those pawns?
At any point you can stop taking them.

Instead of 3...dxc3 you can also play 3...d3. But I would probably take the pawn.
Instead of 4...cxb2 you can just play another move Nc6 or whatever you want.
You can take the pawn though, but it's hard to play against.

3...d5 is a good antidote. After 4.exd5 Nf6, 5.cxd4 Nxd5 black has a very comfortable game.

This.

3...d5 essentially ended the Danish in high level competition ages ago.  The downside is that the lines can become incredibly dull.
