Try the Pirc Defense.

Instead of running away from your problems by finding a new opening, you should figure out what is wrong with your game after 1. e4 e5. If you are losing fast after that position, that's not the fault of the opening. I suspect that is the result of tactical weakness, which will haunt you no matter what opening you play. Finding another opening will only delay addressing the real issue.

The best advice i have read on this site in long time! Even better than the advice i give out haha

I can only reiterate what Pegrin has already said.

i am definite an E4 player,My response are various, because i teach chess,i am forced to learn different defenses agains E4.

E4 - E5>>>leads to Petroff Defense(Russian Defense) 2.Nf3 Nf6

E4 -E5>>>leads  to GiucoPiano(Italian Game)2.Nf3 Nc6

E4 - E5>>> leads to Ruy Lopez(Spanish Game)2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5

E4 - E5>>>leads to Four knights Game(still part of Italian Game) all knights on f3,f6,c3 and c6.

E4 - D5>>>Center counter(Scandinavian Defense)

E4 - E6>>>French Defense

E4 - Nf6 Alekhine Defense, which may transpose to Vienna game see My Own Games: Interesting Draws.

General Guideline>>Control the Center,to control the game.

Thank you very much for your reply. I started this topic because I failed to control the center. ( I lost my center pawn, or blocked my bishop)

The situation is a little different (but I keep it in mind!) Because Kf8 is also possible because my bishop is on c5

um first of all, the sicilian is not boring or to calm. The dragon variation is VERY SHARP. The whole game can change by a single attack or counterattack or even a sacrifice! For your style, I would recommend the Scandinavian with taking the knight out instead of the queen

Im still a stupid newb, but this is either what I personally play against the king's pawn opening, or what I have seen played against it. ...of course openings are by far my weakest area too...take it for what it's worth I guess.
