at your level I would play this line, it's simple and most players around your rating won't know the correct lines.

I'm definitely still a rookie, and I am looking for some help on good defenses against the Ruy Lopez opening and other ones similar to it. Specifically if anyone can point me to some games where black formidably defends against it, I would be much obliged.
