Does this exist?

I've been working on my openings. I have my opening as white under control and I have a defense I'm comfortable with against 1. e4 but now I'm looking for a defense against 1. d4

Until now I've been playing King's Indian Defense and sometimes a somewhat twisted version of the Modern Defense. However, I've been trying to find something less known and more interesting.

I've been thinking maybe 1... b5 My theory with b5 is to control the c4 square, preventing white from getting full control of the queenside. Later I'm thinking of fiancettoing the light squared bishop, pushing pawns to e6 and d5, developing my dark squared bishop to e7, d6, or b4, developing both knights, and castling kingside.

Does this exist and what is it called? I'd also like advice on this opening.

Thanks.

BTW I forgot to put this on to my first post: Does anyone know a book on this defense. It's not in my book Modern Chess Openings...

I don't know about any book on the polish defense. But you might want to check out Anthony Miles' famous win against Karpov with the Polish.
