The Stonewall is easier to play but I think Leningrad is better. I never learned it well enough to play it well so possibly my opinion in biased there.
Dutch: Stonewall or Leningrad?

From the White side, I would much rather face the Leningrad. I play the Leningrad myself and I have some understanding of it. The Stonewall gives me fits.

Although many masters make generalizations about the Dutch, there are a few big names, both past and present that have used it. Seems Botvinnik was an advocate.

The Stonewall and Leningrad differ so much, it really isn't useful to talk about the Dutch as one system. Indeed, Botvinnik was an advocate of the Stonewall, while Korchnoi was one of the originators of the Leningrad.
Would like to read some opinions and preferences on these two geat Dutch defense set ups. I have been really enjoying the attacking chances of the Dutch. What are some differences in playing style, pros n cons of the stonewall vs the Leningrad?
