Does anyone know a good way to get this kind of position against the French?

Well, 1.d4 e6 2.e5 d5 3. e5 c5 4.Nf3 cxd4 5.Nxd4 Bc5 etc.

Well I'd like to play 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 at least...

Oh. Second white move should have been e4. However, you can play 1.e4 and 2.d4 and just have an alternate move order.
