That's good
e4
Uhm, e4 is movement of the King's Pawn. Your question makes absolutely no sense at all!
I'm a d4 player myself, and have played the Petroff, French, and Modern against 1.e4 over the board within the last year. If you've got questions on the Ruy Lopez, Italian, Sicilian or Caro-Kann, or some junk opening like the Alekhine, I defer your question to someone else.
Do you mean "openings for Black, in reply to White's e4"?
The French, 1. ... e6 is tactically defensive but strategically ambitious. It's usually considered quite solid. The Caro-Kann, 1. ... c6 is solid but passive. The Scandinavian, 1. ... d5 leads to a Pawn structure very similar to a classical Caro-Kann, losing some time in order to bypass some of White's more agressive responses.
I play the Sicilian, 1. ... c5. It typically leads to dynamic and unbalanced play, with chances for both sides.
