I have been experimenting with giving up a knight or a bishop early for two pawns and marked center pawn strength. I usually gain awesome early and mid position and quickly gain at least a +1 to +4 advantage or at least equal points with good position but have trouble keeping the later advantage in the end game. I feel I am mis-stepping and could be closing earlier. Any good study for this kind of play?
I sac'd a knight for 2 pawns vs Ouachita (rated like 2953), and trust me, with correct play you lose :)
