you could try the "English, Three Knights System (A27)" or more modern the English, Bremen System with ...g6 (A24)(1 c4 e5 2 Nc3 Nf6 3 g3 g6)
the interesting 1 and pretty popular nowadays is English, Symmetrical (A35) 1 c4 c5 2 Nc3 Nc6 - have a look to those 2 players:
