If your opponent plays 1.d4 I suggest the King's Indian Defense Exchange Variation.
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.Nf3 0-0 6.Be2 e5 7.dxe5 dxe5. 8.Qxd8 Rxd8

Maybe you should focus on different things. This sounds like something that might very well work against you. My advice would be to be more comfortable (but not too comfortable) around his strong queen. Don't forget you have an equally strong one.
And try to play your own game, he may have to follow you instead.
Hi! I'm playing a tournament and this weekend I have a game against another player. We have more or less the same rating but I've been told that this guy plays at his best when he has his queen on the board, so I'm looking for an opening that allows me to force a quick exchange of queens. I'll play with black pieces. Any suggestions?
Thank you
