Black is a GM with a rating of 2630. But I'm not playing the French therefore I can only tell what makes sense and what doesn't. There you go. Happy now?

You forgot to mention that the opponent was rated ~800 points lower, and that after the positional lemon 7.f4? one should already know the outcome.

This comment is directed to leklerk1. If you are not a troll, you should seriously consider to stop playing chess. Your ego is too big for your rating. Perhaps if you played a few games you would realize that.

White is a pawn up after f2-f4... these are the good news. The bad news are that the extra pawn is the one at c1.
How much sense does it make positionally first to make Black's French problem of the light-squared bishop a non-issue, and then burying your own dark-squared bichop behind your pawn chain?
