French Vs Sicilian

In that case we have seven for Team Sicilian as well. However, since Board 1 for Team Sicilian has expressed some concern about the pairings, and Team Sicilian's Board 7 was always conditional, I'm proposing we give Team Sicilian a few days to find one more strong player.
If we don't get one more player by 5pm EST on Tuesday, 2/16/21, the pairings will be locked and the matches can begin.
You've got three days to find one. There have to be some titled players around here who use the Sicilian.
@little_guinea_pig - Yeah, I warned my opponent about that during the Caro challenge, and asked to be Board 2 in that match (to no avail). On long time controls I play a lot stronger. That, and I've been studying Petrosian for much of the pandemic, which seems to have solidified my positional play and improved my board memory.
@Batman2508 - Based on your daily rating, you would slot in on Board 2 right now, and would have to play against me. Are you OK with this?

I'm perfectly content in ceding my position for team Sicilian now that Batman2508 has displayed interest in joining.

I'll still give everyone until Tuesday afternoon to prepare before the matches begin. Team Sicilian should review the "French Vs Caro-Kann" match games to get a handle on how your respective opponents play.
The Sicilian is a fundamentally stronger defense than the Caro-Kann, so I still expect this match to be closer than the last one.

Against Team Caro, I was held to a draw in my game as White. I did smash him with the French in my game as Black. 1 1/2 out of 2.

2 Games - You have to play Black in the game that is your team name, so for you, that's the Sicilian, for me, that's the French.
Your other game is White in the opening that is the opposing team's name.
So in your case, you have Black with your opponent in the game that must start 1.e4 c5. You have White in the game with your opponent that must start 1.e4 e6 and no Sicilian or Owens Defense Transposition. So like, 2.d4 or 2.d3 or 2.Nf3 must be answered with 2...d5. Of course, a move like 2.Qe2, Black is not forced to play a bad move (e.g. 2...d5?).
