From's Gambit

It turns out that white had a bad idea of sacrificing the f pawn

1. f4 e5 2. fxe5 d6 3. exd6 Bxd6 4. Nc3? Qh4+ 5. g3

Black has two ways to checkmate white

(A) 5. ... Bxg3+ 6. hxg3 Qxg3#
(B) 5. ... Qxg3+ 6. hxg3 Bxg3#

ok and if white avoids falling into the "trap"?

For example :

I can assure u than almost every 1.f4 spcialist know this variation and From Gambit in this line is just good for white.

Maybe better is developping instead of g5, but then no trap...

I play Nf6 instead of g5 and there's lot of traps to play still, but it does feel like Black's compensation is mostly tricks that White can parry and I get the feeling in general Black should be able to do better than this against the Bird with some other line of play.

THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK AGAINST THE BIRD, I can just play Nf3, and the engine shows white is better plus I am up a pawn. FEAR THE BIRD!
