Isn't that the main point of databases? To tell you what lines are good in practice?
According to Chessbase, 8 Nc3 seems to be the usual move and scored 66% in 718 games by players with an average ELO of 2170.
8 Bd2 was only played once and lost, though the game was played by weak players.
I stumbled on this line online in some databases, and recently played it in a game. Is it alright, or poor and just leads to cheap tricks?
