1.e4 f5 new way of playing it

If Black doesn't want to take the win with 4 ... Nxh5 in the diagram above.

I had figured it might be 1 e4 f5 2 exf5 a5 3 Qh5+ g6 4 fxg6 Ra6 5 gxh7+ Rg6 6 Qxg6#.
Though even in this line, Black could delay things with 4 ... Nf6 5 g7+ Nxh5 6 gxh8=Q Nf6, when White could still win with 7 d3 d5 8 Bh6 Nbd7 9 Bxf8 Nxf8 10 Qg7 Ng6 11 Qh6 or even just 7 g4, for example.

Definitely a strange mover.

A mate in 6 but not forced until after Black's 4th move.

The following line is better.

Except it only wins after Black blundering. With 3 ... Nf6, Black would win a pawn. White should accept the gambit with 2 exf5.

Which is why the trap is better off against 1.e4 f6

It's still not a good way to play unless maybe to teach a lesson to someone who has just barely learned the moves.

A good win for white. It shows why the Duras Gambit is busted as it almost always loses by force.

That is basically an offshoot (with Black playing a little more weakly) of the line I gave above in #5.
