I'm going to put the openings in rankings of Good, okay and bad

Good:

e4, d4, c4, b3, Nf3, and g3.

Okay:

c3, d3, e3, f4, Nc3, and Nh3.

Bad:

Na3, a3, a4, b4, f3, g4, h3, and h4.

Please comment on if you think I'm wrong.

I think Nh3 is more useful than Na3 as long as you fianchetto the white squared bishop.

How is Na3 any better?

P.S.

Go Ducks!!!

That makes a lot of sense, thanks for showing that. Wouldn't h3 be as good as a3, or are you biased against the kingside.

Can somebody else comment on this too, please?

well I agreed with what RD has said here.

It's easier to castle kingside, so it's usually a good idea not to mess around too much with those pawns.

Let'a try Nh3.

Okay I see your point, I'll add a new category and put In new things.

Best:

c4, d4, e4, Nf3

Good:

b3, Nc3, f4, g3,

Okay:

a3, c3, d3, e3,

Bad:

a4, b4 (Sorry, you didn't convince, me. I don't think it belongs in the same category as some of the other things.) f3, g4, h3, h4, Na3 (Same as b4), Nh3.

When you said Go Beavers were you trying to alienate me, or are you a Beaver fan, or both?

I'd say you're wrong about a number of them.  I'll list the ones I disagree with:

Good: g3 is fine, but it can't be considered optimal.  Same with b3.  I'd put those in okay, they don't belong in good.  Also, I'd move Nc3 from okay to good as it's a fine opening with a number of solid transpositions.

I can't agree with all this.

b3 and Nc3, against accepted theory from black, can lead to no better than fairly early equality.

g3, no matter what black does, IF white plays optimally, can lead to postions that are fully as well in white's favor as any other in GM praxis.  It's impossible for black to rule out transpositions to either the 2.g3 English or the Reti/Catalan.  (Unless, of course, he plays in such a way as to allow white an even greater advantage.)

Nc3, after d5, will never be better than equal.

It has been considered basically equal for a long time, what is the line that shows black problems according to you?

1...e5 is often considered the most critical answer and is very complicated but as far as i know it should result in fairly balanced positions.

Maybe it's less "ok" than g3 (which i would rather move to "good" as long as Nf3 and c4 are there, since Nf3 and c4 are pretty much in the same spirit and are also not considered a way to claim an advantage. If anything g3 gives black some extra options) but definitely much better than 1.a4.

Beavers fan!  And also, I hate your ducks... so I'd say it might be both?

Also, another part of it is that 99% of duck fans were beaver fans before Kelly.

I've been a Duck fun since I've been born, I'd say you're way off, maybe 25% of casual Duck fans and .1% of Duck fans would apply to what you said.
