Great Defence for White against Nimzo-Indian

Catalan's the best reply with g3 followed by bishop fienchatto.  It avoids the nimzo indian. 

Did you really just bump a thread that is over 8 years old?

I'm sorry. This was so interesting. :( Wanted to see what was best against Nimzo and used catalan. 

3.g3 doesnt mean White will get a Catalan, as Black can play 3...c5 and enter a Benoni.

3.Nbd2 should transpose to a catalan after 3..d5 4.g3 (an opening where as far as I know Nbd2 is a common move.)

3. Nbd2 d5 4. c5 Nc6 should be good enough for at least equality.

Hasn't NimzoIndian been played, however, a few number of times since these 8 years ?  ;-)
