Hopton vs Fianchetto attack against dutch?

If you wan't a positional and theoretical game then 2.g3. If you wan't a wild game and hope to catch Black (and maybe yourself) of guard then 2.Bg5.

You can't always force 2.Bg5.
You get Dutch players (cough, including myself) that play 1...e6 and 2...f5 to avoid gambits and 2.Bg5 lines, and against 2.Nc3, black can play 2...d5 instead of 2...f5.
To play 1...e6 instead of 1...f5, you must give in to the following:
1) You can no longer play the Leningrad
2) You must be willing to play a French if 2.e4. My primary defense to 1.e4 is the French anyway.
