I want to register with fide so that I can play adult tournaments (the games are much more fun than junior games), does anybody know how to do this? Do you have to pay? I would prefer answers from people who are actually registered with fide.

Check with your australian chess federation. You can do it from there.

GMrJCL, I have a FIDE and I did nothing spectacular to do it. Just play a FIDE rated tournament.

Hello, my name is Clyde Jared M. Toreña from the Philippines. I'm 6years old. I learned to play chess when I was 4yrs old thru the help of my mother who is a former national player  too. And recently, I played in our school tournament but I really want to know more and be a future grandmaster just like Sir Magnus and of course Sir Eugene Torre from the Philippines. I would preferred answers from people who actually registered with FIDE. Thank you so much for the help.

I dont think you need to register with FIDE....you just go play in a tournament that is FIDE rated and you can get a FIDE rating and go from there.

Contact your chess federation, or go to chessarena.com and get a pro account. You will get a FIDE ID that way and can earn title for OA games.

Is it a good idea to register with FIDE, U.S.Chess Federation if your rating os at beginner level? Being that 600 games were played and at 700 rating? At what rating would be an ideal for registering?
