I'm planning on doing that as well, but I think trying to aim for a Tartakower Defense-setup is the best way to go, unless there's some opening theory or something. I'm not sure.
How to respond to nf3 and nc3 while playing the Horwitz defense?

My main response to d4 is e6, the horwitz defense. The game then generally transposes to something normal like the East Indian or the French, but sometimes my opponents just start developing knights and I don't really have a game plan. What should my game plan be in this situation?
