9 Ke2 isn't the position given, the position shows 9 Kd2 and explains that Ke2 would fall to ...Bg4+. That is correct.
There is a knight on g1 covering e2.

You can't even play Ke2 because you would be playing in to check with the knight on b1. It's an illegal move.

i was playing the Alvin Countergambit lesson as I start to learn more about creating a good opening and I came across the attached screenshot on my iPad. It says that 9. Ke2 Bg4+ wasn't attractive but I'm pretty sure it's not even legal which is thanks to the newly promoted Pawn to Knight. I thought perhaps someone who can update the lessons should do so here as this is aimed at beginners who may not understand what they're being taught when it contravenes the rules.
