My traps aren't working for me now . . . Im too old 82 . . .
I have this book that was reprinted in 1970 . It says on the cover the price was $2.95 .
Going to start studying these traps again . Wish I had the pgn's for this book .
i have to update this because I'm now 84 and my games are detiriorating miserable, so is my spelling . . .
I used to love traps maybe i should go back to them . . .
But many new openings are being used that aren't in the book . . .
There is another book that can be downloaded FREE "700 Traps" but i forgot the author . . .
Hang in there, Rich!
(It's "700 Opening Traps" by Bill Wall. Link is on his web site.)

Traps have been helpful with teaching myself to look ahead for possiblilities on the board. Both my opponents and mine. Studying traps helps my tactical thought. I know most are built on relying on my opponents mistakes and if the opponent doesn;t bite, they often do leave you vulnerable positionally.
A double edged sword for sure.
