Ofc, in Daily games, the KG loses easily. You know why (wink). It's playable in standard otb up to GM level. GM Short plays it in classical time control. It's not an easy opening to play and there are plenty of options like RL, GP and Scotch. My point is it's sound and playable. (Except Daily or Correspondence)
Is it just me or is King's Gambit really on a rise?
A draw means only that you could not win.
A post showing a win over an oppanant lower rated means nothing.
Many people play it most win.

I will be so surprised if Nigel Short still play such crappy opening in 2018, 2019.
If you let Anand play the same KID today, he won't do 3. ...Nf6??. But will likely play 3....g5!
The standard of game play from today will be quite better than those from 25+ years ago.
No way a top engine plays g5. The last engine match I know of Qh5+ was played. Komodo beat SF in 2018.
3 Nc3 is a joke. After 3...d5, white should lose.
we have 2B more forgiving of komodo
I agree. SF won overall + 29 = 62 - 9 .....twas the first game. It was looking up for Komodo, until the ceiling crashed in. In that game, SF thought as white for a reply for 10+min...which is era in computer chess. Never saw the danger until move 30. Nowadays it sees it very soon...hehehe.

You are correct.
I thought white move as 3. Nf3 ( more common variation)
The right responses for
3. Nc3 is Qh4+
4. Nf3 is g5
The right responses for
3. Nc3 is Qh4+
4. Nf3 is g5
Qh4+ is the approx equal to d5. However no human can carry out the win...is the catch.
Nf3 g5 is a draw....but I dont play white to prove draws from a negative position.
If someone knows if Nf3 loses, its not me. The engines say Be7 is the best ..but go ahead and beat yourself up on a gambit hardly played at even my low level. Bluefish clobbered Leela with 3...Nf6 too.
Is it 5 min blitz? I am not talking about bullet and blitz.
