ITT (In This Thread) We Hate the London

Oh geez man. Levy told me to play Caro Kann and London because I'm a beginner and I need to keep it simple. You guys play RUY LOPEZ and SICILIAN!? Oh geez that's too much man  Those openings are way too sharp and theoretical for anyone!  You should play simple openings like the London and Caro Kann like Levy said. 

Bro i don't know any of the names of openings. I'm not a chess nerd unlike some(!). ALL Im saying is, hating is a bit 2 much. It's a strong feeling i mean. I hope i make sense. Have a nice day.

It’s because people play it all the time (especially new players who watch Gothamchess) and games get boring. I don’t know all the chess openings either, but when you see the same thing all the time is it fun? No

First of all, I don't watch that unfunny gothamchess. Also, sir, I don't say seeing the same chess moves every time is funny. I hope U understood this time.

I am saying they do the same thing and games aren’t fun anymore. I am saying why I dislike it. Also I don’t watch Gotham chess anymore because his content worsened over the years from educational to entertainment. Although some entertaining videos were nice like old guess the elo every video is just clickbaity garbage. The thing is now he has so many new viewers who always play London and Caro Kann and treat him like an infallible Chess king

Yeah man, i totally agree with that. Gotham chess just went unfunny after he founded the money and fame. Thats true.

London - i’m not gonna lie- is garbage.

The London is not all that bad!

There are c4, e4, a4, b4 and h4 ideas that can give black a lot of trouble.

The london against the KID is bad as it's not grabbing the center and soon black will start blasting with c5, Dxc5, Nxc5 and the pyramid is ruined, the knight is great, And g3 is weak.
