Just made a new opening/chess trap, what do you think?

Sort:

So the opening starts with d4 d5 c4 dxc4 e4 nf6, also known by chess.com as the "Queens Gambit Accepted, Centeral Variation, Alekhine System".

Now the move that most people play here is e5, attacking the knight, but instead you, as white, play the second gambit of the game, knight to f3. The opponent will take the free e4 pawn, and then you take the pawn on c4.

Now, a logical move by black is to play bishop to g4, pinning the knight to the queen.  Now what move do we play here?

All it needs now is a stupid name, and it's complete.

Ollivvver

call it the "get thrown into the Bermuda triangle gambit"

Cool gambit blitz, an other option:

The gambit is playable even if black doesn't make a blunder with 5...Bg4. peshka

Two things:

1) It is NOT a "second gambit" - White is not gambiting anything. It is a pawn trade. White gets the front c-pawn, Black gets the e-pawn and maintains the pawn advantage. It is extremely weak as White stays a pawn down for no reason.

2) 6...Bg4 is NOT a natural move as anybody that has even remotely looked at a very basic tactics book knows this, one of the oldest tricks in the book. In some cases, Ne5 is played first, usually if it is going to lead to mate, and for cases where it is not mate, Bxf7 is played first followed by Ne5 or Ng5 with check and picking up the Bishop, winning a pawn!
