Well which one do you like better? Kings Gambit or Queens Gambit? Winner will be announced in September. SImply post your preferred gambit!

I prefer Kings Gambit

trigs

since i actually like gambits (and the queen's gambit is not a "real" gambit) i'm going to vote for KG.

(on a side note: i've played the queen's gambit with decent success. i've recently tried the king's gambit and got slaughtered a few times - fun to play but can be quite difficult.)

The Queen's gambit is much stronger than the king's so it takes my vote. I don't play the white side of either opening though.

The QG should never happen ... 1.d4 f5 2.e4 ... Staunton Gambit :).

I like both, although there are a couple problems with king safety that you don't have to worry about with QG.  QG can also be very positional, which I prefer.  My vote goes to the Queen's Gambit

White has to fight hard for equality in the Staunton if black knows what he is doing, although from a purely theoretical standpoint it is probably better than the KG.

I heard the queen's gambit is not a true gambit, as for mines, King's gambit

And the Queen's gambit is not going to happen, because 1. d4 nf6! and so it won't happen.

Thanks guys and keep the gambits coming!

King's Gambit <3 And as a dutch player, i don't think that white has to fight hard for equality in the Staunton. Black has to give the pawn back anyway, and imo it just a pretty even position! But that's just my opinion :P

Vek_The_Gambiteer

I've just started playing the King's Gambit, but so far it's been AWESOME. So KG all the way
