KIA vs Slav Structure

I’ve encountered this defense a few times while playing the KIA. Is this a good structure for Black to use?

If d4 and c4 were played it'd be a semi slav.

As it is, maybe you'd call it a reversed colle system.

Sure, it's playable against anything.

I'd consider 4...c6 a wasted tempo by Black. 4...c5 is the normal thing to do.

A Caro-Kann move in a French opening...how often is c6 played in the French Defence anyway?

Playable, but what's the point?

As for the structure and names...

It's not really this color's vs that color's, it's the whole board.

In general I agree c5 is what black wants, but with white playing slowly and solidly (KIA setup) black can choose to do the same at no real cost. He'll just have to be careful not to fall into a passive position later. KIA players are familiar with e.g. attacking the kingside. So black should keep in mind he'll eventually need to commit to an idea or area like that.

It’s perfectly fine and solid.
