KID doesn't work well for me

It seems like I always get in a super cramped up situation where everything is locked up. So I'm thinking of switching up my play. Grunfeld and queens indian don't attrackt me very much, neither does the slav or queens gambit declined.

So I'm looking into the budapest gambit and..... the modern benoni. Any other openings I need to look at? any tips, ideas?

To play the KID from the black side, you should always be aggressive to avoid cramped positions.

Basicly you are saying you don't like playing 1...Nf6 nor 1....d5 against d4. You can try Nimzo-Indian if you are willing to play 1...Nf6

The choices are limited, the Dutch (1.d4 f5) defence might come handy but it's not that easy to play.

I see your problem..here is a casual game I lost while playing the KID... It was a mess for me...that's why I prefer exchange Grunfelds and QGD

Ok guys thanks for the responses, I don't really like the Dutch defense. I think I'll stick with the king's indian for now and try to play it more agressively, in the mean time read up on the benoni. Then try it out in some unrated games to see if it suits me.
