King's Gambit Fanatic - What next?

Hi All,

The King's Gambit has been my go-to opening because I love the open lines and tactical play it allows. I'm looking to add a few more openings to my repretoire and was wondering if you had any suggestions for me. Specifically, do you have a recommendation for another opening that leads to aggressive and open tactical play like the King's Gambit (doesn't have to be a gambit opening) and another opening that is totally different, leading to interesting positional play, yet suitable for a relative beginner?

I'd love to hear your opinions.

Try out Blackmar-Diemer Gambit and Ryder Gambit. They both start with d4. If you play e4 instead, and your opponent replies d5 (Scandinavian), you can transpose to BDG or Ryder Gambit.

After 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 do you typically play Bc4 or Nf3 ?

The Italian is a nice tactical opening:

The Vienna Gambit is also a close cousin of the King's Gambit:

Blackmar-Dietmar Gambit. 1d4 d5 2e4 e6. French defence. Yes, please. Also 2c6 (Caro-Kann) will also spoil your fun

The Vienna Gambit (2.Nc3 Nf6 3.f4) is just equal after 3...d5! 4.fxe5 Nxe4. But the Vienna Game (3.Bc4) is very interesting and often leads to good play for White based on f4 (it sometimes transposes to the King's Gambit Declined) and there are a whole load of traps and tricks, plus it is a fully sound opening (unlike the King's Gambit Accepted, which should be a bit better for Black, although I accept that at below GM strength it is fully playable).
