King Bishop Fianchetto against the Scandianavian

Hello, today I would like to talk about playing the KIA against Scandianavian defense. I know the concepts pretty well because I regularly play Scandianavian against 1. e4 and King's Indian defense against any other openings other than 1. e4. I've played around 3500 live blitz atm, and as a 1. e4 player, I face 1... d5 very often. So here are my ideas.

This one is like the KIA against the french but Black is up by a move because of the lack of 1...e6.

Another idea I have is...

I plugged those openings on Fritz 11 (haha I don't understand how to use those Chess engines like rybka or something) and it tells me Black has slight advantage (like around -0.50 ish).  There are also cases where black might not push d4 for their 2nd move as well. I would like to see if it is playable against most of the cases.

Thanks in advance, and happy new year.

Only a total newbie would reply to 1...d5 with 2.e5, and another newbie would probably counter-lemon the opponent with 2...d4.

2.e5 Bf5 or 2...c5 is already absolutely comfortable for black, maybe even slightly better for him.

Are you sure you know the concepts pretty well?

Do NOT plug any opening, to any engine. Engines mishandle the opening and the endgame quite a lot, and in any case they do not offer substantial info.

As for the second one, the main problem is that black can take on e4, when you have to play a rather odd Caro Kann where black has completely omitted ...c6, which can only be good for him.

It seems to me like Scandianavian players hope White to go over aggressive trying to kick the Queen as much as possible to gain tempo. I was wondering if this kind of line would work then?

like a Catalan setup. It probably might discourage black from castling long.

I haven't looked into game explorer or any opening books so please correct me if there is any mistakes.

seems like a decent setup. the only thing i would worry about is that the queen is not more or less boxed in and would be hard to activate. maybe black has a decent game after 7.. e6 8.0-0 h5

also the bishop on g2 is blunted by the pawn on c6. white's plan might be to play for a d4-d5 break but that is easier said than done since then black might use the opened d-file for one of his rooks which white would be unable to do.

this is just off the top of my head.

the main question is .. how do you activate the queen. with the knight on f3 white always has Qe2.

one analysis variation off the top of my head

ah, the move 8...h5 seems irritating. I don't play the Catalan, but i think the concepts are similar, in which Black tries to supress the light bishop. White can always develop the bishop to f4, Qd2 and Castle long.
