Lasker Trap: Good or Overly Complicated?

Sort:

I have recently begun to memorize the venerable Lasker Trap, which stems from the Queen's Gambit Accepted, Albin Countergambit, and results in huge positional gain for black and a disastrous king-in-center position for white.

I just wanted to find out if anyone has used this trap frequently, and can testify that it usually bears fruit for all its prepration. Any small slip for black in setting up the trap can be, as I've heard, a disaster.

Thanks in advance.

It works great against players with blitz ratings under 900.

Get much higher and people start remembering that they have to be careful and avoid playing 4 e3.
