Beginners and experienced players welcome, as long as you are happy to share your ideas and help the members build their expertise at this critical phase of the game.

We are about to embark on a series of tournaments exploring the main replies to e4, starting with c5, so don't miss out!

We do not take part in vote chess or team matches against other groups - this group exists only to help its members build their knowledge and skills in the opening phase of the game.
