here is all you need to know about the Stafford Gambit for White: literally one line. 4. Nxc6 4...dxc6 5. d3 5...Bc5 6. Be2! Not allowing Ng4 6... h5 this is ridicolous but its the only move that should concern you. 7. c3 if White can play d4 then Black can just resign 7...Ng4 8. d4! 8...Qh4 will White see the threat? 9. g3 he does 9...Qf6 10 Bf3! This position is +3 for White because of the extra central pawn, the big center, the better pawn structure and the Knight on g4 will have to go to h6 after h3
