Lessons on Petrov Defence?

I lose regularly as White when Black deploys the Petrov defence. (My most recent game today is a good example). Is there a series on chess.com or elsewhere to learn the main traps to avoid? Whenever I play as White against the Petrov defence, I rarely make it past the opening!

I've had difficulty against the Petrov too and decided to not capture the pawn on e5.  I like to play d3, Nc3, etc. and develop into what I consider a "closed Petrov".  I find it takes the Petrov player out of his/her comfort zone because they're expecting Nxe5 on move 2.  Theory might say I am approaching it wrong but I've had good results with this approach.

d3 with intentions on be2 is just equality. Pretty sure most Petrov players would be more than comfortable if you play like that. Where is whites claim to being ahead? Even in the four knights - long considered weak for white - at least you have the light squared bishop in a more active position.

You can try to transpose into four knights game via Nc3, but your opponent may not play Nc6, they might instead play Bc5.
