why bf4?! f4 ng6 nf3 gives white a big advantage. must be like 0.8.  without rb8 the line is closer to 0.4 and playable although not a position pleasant for everyone.

this is quite playable although black must play with surprising precision. (usually bc5 bd7 nh6, f6, nf7, e5) as usually played by IM vlasenko and GM stevic.

 

black cannot afford to lose the extra tempo with rb8.

That is what you may think, being a sheep of the books. It is no surprise that you will attack any who dare to come up with their own lines. I am criticizing your unsound setup but if want I be happy play you a rated blitz game and your lower rating.  You play black and your Madagascan defense and I prove to you its unsound.
